Mr Soumendra Nath Lahiri, Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of L&T Mutual Fund has put down his papers and has decided to pursue an opportunity outside of L&T Mutual Fund. According to sources, Mr SN Lahiri will be joining a private equity firm.
Venugopal Mangat, head-equities, and Sriram Ramnathan, head-fixed income, who have been with L&T Mutual Fund for over 7 years will continue to manage the funds in line with defined philosophy of the schemes. L&T Mutual Fund is backed by robust processes.
Mr SN Lahiri has an overall experience of 28 years of which 24 years of experience is in equity investments and research. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore and a degree in B.E (Mechanical) Engineering as well.
Prior to joining L&T Financial Services, Mr SN Lahiri was Head of Equities at Canara Robeco Mutual Fund. His previous assignments include CIO at Emkay Global Services (January 2011 to March 2011) and Fortuna Capital (May 2008 to December 2010). He also worked as Co-Head - Equities with DSP Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Private Ltd. (June, 2004 to March, 2008).
As on September 2019, Mr SN Lahiri managed an AUM of around Rs 30,844 crore across 17 schemes at L&T Mutual Fund.
