PGIM India Mutual Fund has launched PGIM India Multi Cap Fund

It is an open-ended equity scheme investing across large cap, mid cap, small cap stocks

The performance of multi-cap funds in 2024 has been influenced by the uneven recovery of different market segments. Large-cap stocks have shown resilience, driven by stable earnings and global market linkages, while mid-cap and small-cap stocks have exhibited higher volatility, offering both risks and opportunities.

Fund managers of multi-cap funds have had to navigate these challenges by dynamically adjusting allocations to capitalize on emerging trends and sectors that show potential for growth. This flexibility has allowed multi-cap funds to remain competitive and provide a balanced risk-reward proposition for investors looking to optimize their portfolios in a rapidly changing market environment.

The investment objective of the scheme is to seek to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio of equity and equity related securities across large cap, mid cap and small cap stocks. However, there can be no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be achieved. The Scheme does not guarantee/ indicate any returns.

Under normal circumstances, PGIM India Multi Cap Fund will hold an allocation of 75% to 100% in Equity and Equity related Securities out of which 25% to 50% in Large Cap Companies, 25% to 50% in Mid Cap Companies and 25% to 50% in Small Cap Companies, 0% to 25% in Debt and Money Market Securities (including TREPS (Tri-Party Repo), Reverse Repo), 0% to 10% in Units issued by REITs & InvITs, 0% to 20% in Foreign securities including overseas ETFs.

PGIM India Multi Cap Fund is to generate long term capital appreciation by actively investing in equity and equity related securities of large cap, mid cap and small cap companies. The Scheme will maintain a minimum exposure of 25% of its total assets in each market cap category viz. Large cap, Mid cap & Small cap.

The portfolio will be built utilizing a combination of the top-down and bottom-up portfolio construction process, focusing on the fundamentals of each stock, including quality of management. The fund manager will aim to build a diversified portfolio with exposure across sectors.

PGIM India Multi Cap Fund is benchmarked against the Nifty 500 Multicap 50:25:25 TRI

PGIM India Multi Cap Fund will be managed by Mr Vivek Sharma, Mr Anandha Padmanabhan Anjeneyan and Mr Utsav Mehta, Mr. Puneet Pal is the debt fund manager for the scheme.

SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund is open for subscription from August 22, 2024 to September 02, 2024. The fund will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase on September 13, 2024.

The minimum subscription amount is Rs 1,000/- and in multiples of Re. 1 thereafter.

The fund offers Direct Plan and Regular Plan. Under each plan the fund offers Growth option and Income Distribution cum Capital Withdrawal.
