Mutual Fund News : Sundaram Mutual Fund Launches Sundaram Bluechip Fund

Sundaram Mutual Fund has launched an open ended equity scheme - Sundaram Bluechip Fund.

Classified as a Large Cap Fund, Sundaram Bluechip Fund is mandated to invest predominantly in stocks of large sized companies, i.e. top 100 companies by market capitalization.

Accordingly, the investment objective of the scheme is to generate capital appreciation by investing in large cap stocks.

There is no guarantee or assurance that theinvestment objective of the scheme will be achieved. Investorsare neither being offered any guaranteed / indicated returns norany guarantee on repayment of capital by the Schemes. Thereis also no guarantee of capital or return either by the mutual Fundor by the sponsor or by the Asset management Company.

Under normal circumstances, Sundaram Bluechip Fundwill predominantly invest (80% to 100% of its assets) in Equity & Equity related securities of large cap stocks, whereas invest up to 20% of its assets in other market caps.

It can also hold up to 20% of its assets in overseassecurities / ADR’s / GDR’s, whereas upto 20% can be held in Fixed Income& Money Market Instruments. The fund also has flexibility to invest up to 10% of its assets in Units issued by REITs and InvITs.

The scheme’s performance will be benchmarked against Nifty 100 - TRI (Total Return Index).

The equity investments in the portfolio will be managed by Mr Rahul Baijal&MrS Krishnakumar, whereasMrDwijendra Srivastava will look after the Fixed Income portion. Mr Rohit Seksaria is the dedicated fund manager for investments in overseas securities.

The NFO opens for subscription on September 17, 2020 and closes on September 30, 2020. The scheme will reopen for fresh investments on October 14, 2020.

The fund’s NAV is priced at Rs 10/- per unit during the NFO period. The minimum subscription amount is Rs 100 and in multiples of Rs 1 thereafter.

The fund offers Regular Plan and Direct Plan having Growth Option and Dividend Option (Dividend Re-investment and Dividend Pay-out facilities).
