SBI Mutual Fund has launched SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund
It is an open-ended equity scheme following the innovation theme.
The investment objective of the scheme is to provide investors with opportunities for long term capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity related instruments of companies that seeks to benefit from adoption of innovative strategies & theme. However, there is no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be achieved.
Under normal circumstances, SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund will hold an allocation of 80% to 100% in Equity and equity related instruments of companies that seek to benefit from adoption of innovative strategies & theme, 0% to 20% in Other equity & equity related instruments, 0% to 20% in Debt securities (including securitized debt^ & debt derivatives) and money market instruments including triparty repos and 0% to 10% in Units issued by REITs and InvITs

SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund will predominantly be actively managed to achieve its investment objective. The Scheme aims to maximize long-term capital appreciation by investing in primarily (at least 80% of the net assets) in equity and equity related instruments of companies which are innovators (demonstrated through innovation in product/process or through innovative business models) or are significantly investing into research and development for creation of innovative products/processes.
The investment strategy of the scheme would focus on identifying and investing in companies engaged in innovative strategies / theme from domestic as well as global universe. The fund manager will adopt an active management style & will follow bottom-up approach to stock picking to optimize returns. The scheme will invest in diversified portfolio of stocks across market capitalization.
SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund is benchmarked against the Nifty 500 TRI
SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund will be managed by Mr Prasad Padala and Mr Pradeep Kesavan
SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund is open for subscription from July 29, 2024 to August 12, 2024. The fund will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase within 5 business days.
The fund offers Direct Plan and Regular Plan. Under each plan the fund offers Growth option and Income Distribution cum Capital Withdrawal.
The minimum subscription amount is Rs 5,000/- and in multiples of Re. 1 thereafter.
